Bruins Defeat Flyers 2-1 in Winter Classic
In front of a sellout crowd of 38,112 at Fenway Park, the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers played in the third annual Winter Classic. Mike “Doc” Emrick to Miss Winter Classic
Mike “Doc” Emrick was initially scheduled to be NBC’s play-by-play announcer for Thursday’s Winter Classic. However, due to laryngitis, Emrick will not be able to call the game. Instead, Dave Strader, the play-by-play announcer for the Phoneix Coyotes, will take Emrick’s place at Wrigley Field.
