Breaking News: Lee Evans to Baltimore Ravens

by Derek Johnson on Friday, August 12th, 2011

Despite having two years left on his contract and not even asking for a trade, Lee Evans will be playing for a different team this season.

The Buffalo Bills traded Evans to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2012 draft. This came the day after the Ravens lost to the Eagles 13 to 6 in a preseason game.

Having already lost Todd Heap to the Arizona Cardinals, adding Evans could bring some veteran experience to the Wide Receiving corps led by Anquan Boldin.

“It’s not a whole lot I can focus on because I have no control,” said Evans. “My main goal is to do everything in my power to help this team win. That’s what my focus is more so than anything.

“At the end of the day, all my teammates know what I can do, who I am and they respect me for that. They know they can trust me, they know they can believe in me, so that goes a long way.”

Evans was drafted 13th overall in the 2004 NFL Draft. He is entering his 8th season in the NFL.
