When it all came down to the decision whether or not Brett Favre would play a 20th NFL season, it turns out all he really needed to come back was the feeling of being wanted. It has been reported that Brett Favre is on his way to Minnesota and it is suspected that he will join the Minnesota Vikings and play a 20th NFL season.
Reports earlier today said that defensive end Jared Allen, offensive guard Steve Hutchinson and kicker Ryan Longwell have missed practice today to fly to Hattiesburg, Mississippi where they would try to convince Brett Favre to come and play for a second season in Minnesota. There has also been reports that Favre has texted other teammates saying that he was “back in”.
Brett Favre was great last season throwing for 4202 yards, 33 TDs and a career low 7 INTs. Of course the most recent playing memory we have of Favre was his interception late in the 4th quarter in the NFC championship, a game New Orleans eventually won in overtime.
