Wade Stays In Miami; Bosh Joins

by Derek Johnson on Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Dwyane Wade is staying in Miami, and Chris Bosh wants to join him. Bosh had spent the past seven seasons north of the border with the Toronto Raptors.

It’s not clear if Bosh will sign with Miami outright or join via sign-and-trade. If he goes through the sign-and-trade route, he may end up earning $125 million over six years. An outright sign could get him $96 million over five years.

Wade and Bosh are expected to earn the maximum amount allowable, although if the Heat can manage to sign LeBron James, their salaries may be reduced. James will make his decision at 9 PM EST tomorrow on ESPN.

Wade and Bosh will help team president Pat Riley lobby LeBron, even if it means financial hardships for the basketball club.
