Marquis Daniels Out Eight Weeks

A torn ligament in the left thumb will sideline Boston’s Marquis Daniels for about eight weeks. The 28-year old Shooting Guard from Orlando, Florida had to undergo surgery to repair that torn ligament.

According to the Celtics, Drs. Brian McKeon and Drew Terrono at New England Baptist Hospital performed the surgery. No exact timetable has been set for Daniels’ return.

Daniels said on his Twitter account that the surgery was a success and that he would “be back better than before”.

The Celtics’ Shooting Guard signed with the club this summer after playing three seasons with the Indiana Pacers. Daniels has averaged 5.7 points, 2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game this season.
