Sorry for the lack of updates today, things have been hectic over here on SFC, so here is some of the news that crossed the wire on December 2nd:

-Tiger Woods admitted to “transgressions” concerning his family life, and made his first official statement acknowledging this.  In relation to this, Nike and several other sponsors announced they will not drop Woods as their respective spokesman.

-The New Jersey Nets set an NBA record for starting a season with consecutive losses, dropping their 18th straight overall to the Dallas Mavericks at home by a score of 117-101.

-Allen Iverson finalized a contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, making his triumphant return for the first time since being traded to the Nuggets.  He will make his debut next Monday against those same Nuggets.

-In an odd story, Ron Artest confessed to drinking alcohol often during halftime of games he played while with the Chicago Bulls.  Artest played for the team from 1999-2002.

-Floyd Mayweather gave his formal permission to finalize a 2010 fight against Manny Pacquiao.  It is rumored that the fight could be held at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.
