-Breaking news out of the NBA world, as Stephen A. Smith is reporting via his twitter that Allen Iverson has informed him he will call it a career.

-Update: The report has been confirmed by ESPN.

-”The Answer” was traded from Denver to Detroit last season in a deal that sent Chauncey Billups to the Mile High City, but failed to produce as they had planned.

-Iverson signed on earlier this season with Memphis, but only played in three games for the franchise.

-He averaged 27.0 points per game in his career, a majority of which was spent with the Philadelphia 76ers. It had been reported that contract talks with the New York Knicks broke off earlier this week.
