Tampa Bay scored all of its points off two Mike Nugent field goals, but it wasn’t enough as the Buccaneers fell to 1-2 in preseason. Leftwich went 9-of-17 passing for 100 yards while McCown completed just 5 of 11 passes for 38 yards. Chad Pennington was 9-of-16 for 128 yards, throwing a touchdown strike to Anthony Fasano; it was the only touchdown of the game.
