With 43 seconds left in regulation, Henry Burris completed a 20-yard pass to Jeremaine Copeland, who barely crossed the goal line to give the Stampeders a 35-31 lead; Copeland also caught a critical pass on 3rd down that kept the Calgary drive alive.

On the ensuing kickoff, Tristan Jackson dropped the catch, but picked up the ball and ran all the way to the Calgary 42-yard line before being tackled by Dwaine Carpenter. Three plays later, Ricky Ray connected with Fred Stamps on a 23-yard touchdown pass with just nine seconds left in the game. Edmonton held on to win its fourth game of the season while Calgary fell to 3-4 on the year.

Calgary quarterback Henry Burris completed 30 of 45 passes for 479, throwing two touchdown strikes to Jeremaine Copeland and one to Teyo Jackson. Edmonton’s Ricky Ray was 28-of-37 for 342 yards and three touchdowns: two to Fred Stamps and one to Maurice Mann.

Noel Prefontaine was successful on his only field goal attempt for Edmonton while Sandro DeAngelis kicked two field goals for the Stampeders.
