Results of Coca-Cola 600
The race was called after 227 of 400 laps due to rain. David Reutimann won his first career race in the shortest Coca-Cola 600 in NASCAR history; Reutimann took the lead on lap 222 after deciding to stay on the track during a caution flag for rain. Hoping that the rain would continue throughout the day, Reutimann was awarded the victory after a rain delay of over two hours.
