Tony Romo may find homeless men on the street and take them to the movies, but Kurt Warner has just won the Classy QB Award.
Reports say that Warner is willing to give up $1 Million of his salary, as long as the money goes towards re-constructing WR Anquan Boldin’s contract. Boldin is unhappy with his contract, and it looks like he will be leaving town soon, but perhaps Warner’s generosity will keep him in a Cardinal uniform.
Anquan Boldin has not only meant a lot to Kurt Warner, who nearly retired when Boldin was knocked out in a Cardinals-Jets game last season and blamed his bad pass for it, but has also meant a lot to the Cardinals since they drafted him in 2003.
In his 5 years as a Cardinal, he has caught 502 passes for 6,496 yards and 40 TD. He’s broken 100 receptions in a season twice, and 4 times had 1,000+ receiving yards in a season. Boldin has also been to 3 Pro Bowls. The 54th selection of the 2003 NFL draft, Boldin is 28 and will be 30 when his contract expires after the 2010 season.
