Kidd Reaches 10k Assists in Career

Sooner or later, it was going to happen. The kid who could pass the rock like no other. Last night, when the Dallas Mavericks took on the Toronto Raptors, Jason Kidd became the fourth player to reach 10,000 assists. Certainly a big honor for the man who is closing out his career and is added to a great list of other NBA legends like John Stockton, Mark Jackson, and Magic Johnson.

Jason, in his 14th year in the NBA, earned his 10,000th assist when he dished the ball out to Mavericks’ Brandon Bass, who scored a 10-foot shot with 1:04 left in the 3rd quarter. Jason Kidd received the praise he deserved when the PA announcer told the sellout crowd what he had accomplished.

Jason, at the end of his memorable career, certainly has shown his passion on and off the court. Now that he is on the list of NBA players with 10,000 assists, let’s work on that NBA ring.

  1. he singlehandedly lead the nets to the finals 2 years in a row. i still remember i think it was in 02 against the celtics when he lead them to be the eastern conference champions, and in 04 i believe when they won the double overtime playoff game against the pistons. and against the superior spurs team he somehow got 2 wins in the series. he is one of the top point guards of all time and congrats to him
