Huge breaking news from the NFL; former Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens has signed with the Buffalo Bills. The terms of the deal are one year, $6.5 Million. The newest Buffalo Bill’s entire contract is in guaranteed money.
Last season, Owens played in all 16 games. His stats were lesser than his 2007 stats, even though he played in 15 games in ’07. Owens caught 69 passes compared to 81 receptions in 2007. He had 1,052 receiving yards in 2008, and 1,355 in 2007. Owens had 15 touchdown receptions in ’07, and five less the following year.
Although his stats weren’t as good as his 2007 season, where he may have been the top receiver in the NFL had it not been for Randy Moss, he still put together a good season in Dallas last year. Because of a fight with quarterback Tony Romo and tightend Jason Witten, however, Owens was cut following his third season in Dallas.
2009 may be milestone season for T.O.; he has 14,122 career receiving yards, just short of 15,000, and 139 career touchdown passes, eleven shy of 150. Owens is going into his 14th NFL season, and he is 35 years old.
