Breaking news coming into the SFC Newsroom. San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson has just signed a 3-year contract extension with the Chargers. The terms are undisclosed, but there will be more to come.
There were rumors that the Chargers, who had over $8 Million taken off of the cap room by Tomlinson’s contract, would cut LT if they did not reach a new contract. Former San Diego Charger and teammate of Drew Brees had expressed hope in LT possibly becoming a Saint and reuniting with his old QB, and it was looking possible that Tomlinson’s career in San Diego may have been over.
