Phoenix Suns Fire Terry Porter

As if the firing of Penguins’ head coach Michel Therrien wasn’t enough news in one day, SportsFullCircle has just received notice of the Phoenix Suns firing head coach Terry Porter. This piece of news comes on a day when the team is hosting the NBA All-Star Game (the Western Conference All-Stars won that game 146 to 119 with MVP honors going to Shaq and Kobe).

Porter will be fired on Monday; he will be replaced by assistant coach Alvin Gentry.

Porter coached the Suns to a 28-23 record, good for 9th in the Western Conference.
