by Jon Alba on Sunday, February 8th, 2009

Various sources are reporting the OF Andruw Jones has agreed to a one year minor league deal with the Texas Rangers.  The deal is reported to be worth around $500,000, with up to $1 million in incentives if he makes the Major League roster.

Jones recently restructured his two-year contract with the Los Angeles, enabling him to be released.  After not accepting a Spring Training offer from the New York Yankees, Jones decided to sign on with Texas.

Last season, Jones hit .158 avg. with 3 home runs and 14 RBI’s in 75 games for the Dodgers last year.
