Celtics-Lakers Rivalry Renewed Tonight @ 8

Tonight will be a rematch of last year’s NBA finals between the two most storied franchises in the NBA. The defending champion Boston Celtics will try to defeat their long time rival the Los Angeles Lakers, who beat them on Christmas Day.

The Celtics and Lakers have accounted for 31 titles between the tandom with 17 going to Boston and 14 to Los Angeles. Boston will be at full strength tonight with All-Star Kevin Garnett back in the lineup after missing the last few games with flu-like symptoms. The Lakers will be without center Andre Bynum, who is out 8-12 weeks after tearing his MCL.

However, Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol will give Boston’s Big Three a run for their money. It should be another classic Celtics-Lakers matchup, and possibly a preview of the NBA Finals.

Tip-off will be at 8:00 PM tonight at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
