Elton Brands first season as a Philadelphia 76′er is unfortunately done. Brand is scheduled to have surgery on his shoulder this Monday, and team trainers say that he will be done for the season. Ever since his injury that he suffered on December 17th, Brand has been feeling agitated and the shoulder has been reported to be “Sore, and has felt discomfort” over the past 6 games since then.
Only starting in 29 games for the 76′ers’ this season, Brand got a big money contract over the summer, and has not proved his worth since then. Only averaging a mere 5.7 points and 4.7 rebounds. Brand has had recent MRI’s and the recent dislocation of the shoulder was taken into consideration. Doctors said that Brand could start in the Thursday game against the Indiana Pacers after hurting it on Tuesday. Later reports and findings by the doctors saw the revealed disruption that was being placed and what was causing the instability of Brands play.
“It’s the most disappointed I’ve ever been in my career,” Brand said. Brand, feeling quite upset over the situation at hand, stated that “Management believed in me. I’m still not going to let them down.”
