Lemieux Comeback Complete; Called Up By Sharks

Today, The San Jose Sharks have called up forward Claude Lemieux from AHL affiliate, Worcester Sharks. Lemieux, 42, contemplated a comeback to the NHL which the San Jose took the chance on, signing him to a contract in December. Lemieux played 23 games with Worcester, having 3 goals and 8 assists with a +2 rating along with 24 penalty minutes. It is expected that Lemieux will play a 3rd or 4th line role with the team.

Lemieux has already had a successful career with over 350 career goals and four Stanley Cups along with being awarded the Conn Smythe trophy as the NHL’s MVP for the playoffs for leading the New Jersey Devils to their first Stanley Cup.
