In one it always one of the biggest honors in sports today, the NFL announced the 2009 Hall of Fame class. The group, led by Bruce Smith (200.0 career sacks), also includes 9-time Pro Bowler LB Derrick Thomas, longtime Vikings OG Randall McDaniel, 11-time Pro Bowl elect CB Rod Woodson, Buffalo Bills founder Ralph Wilson, as well as WR Bob Hayes.
They will all be inducted on Hall of Fame Weekend in August, with the Hall of Fame game to be played on August 9, 2009 between the Tennessee Titans and Wilson’s own Buffalo Bills. The Titans will wear the old 1960 Houston Oilers jerseys, while the Bills will wear their throwbacks as well.
