Sources tell us at SportsFullCircle that the Detroit Red Wings are close to making a long-term contract with soon to be unrestricted free agent forward, Henrik Zetterberg. The contract is shaping up to look like a 10 year deal worth on average $7 million per season.
Zetterberg has had a slightly slower start than expected with 17 goals and 25 assists on the season so far, but is one of the best defensive forwards in the game who played a key part in securing Detroit a Stanley Cup last June.
More to come on this deal.
