Breaking News: Red Wings Ink Zetterberg To Long-Term Deal

This coming into the SFC newsroom that the Detroit Red Wings have locked up Swede superstar Henrik Zetterberg to make him an important part of the team for a very long time. Zetterberg signed a 12-year deal worth $72.96 million for a base salary of $6.08 million per season.

Zetterberg had the option of becoming an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, but it appears he is staying in Detroit for good. A 2 PM EST Press Conference is scheduled for today.
