The NBA Christmas Recap (In Poem Version)

While all of you were eating your hams and merrymaking under the tree, your resident Jew decided to be in the holiday spirit and recap all of your daily NBA action in a lyrical poem… hopefully you enjoy this while you digest (yes I know it doesn’t all rhyme, but you try doing this on a dime).

While parents were resting from their trip to the mall,

Players from near and far came together to play some ball.

The Magic and the Hornets put up quite a show,

With Orlando winning 88-68, that’s how the scoring was to go.

Hedo had 20 as the Magic followed him,

Onward to victory, even if on one limb.

Next on the day was a close one out west,

Between the Spurs and Suns: two teams who truly were the best.

They fought hard and fought long,

Through all 4 quarters they scored the ball.

But Mason’s 3 at the end was the key,

To let the Spurs go home with a victory.

A dual of two titans was up next,

With the Celtics from the East and the Lakers from the West.

On the line was 19 games of victory,

The Lakers making their case for who the best team should be.

With the score tight late in the fourth,

Kobe Bryant emerged and gave the Celtics no remorse.

As he went nothing but net time after time,

The fans stayed in their seats, rather than hit the snack line.

In the end KG could not prevail,

As the Celtics streak was destined to fail.

The Wizards came to Cleveland hoping to ruin their season,

But King James set down a royal decree.

He led his Cavs to still be perfect at home,

With help from his point guard conventionally named Mo.

Caron and Antawn could not pass the test,

As they came up short against some of the best.

Last in this tale is the team called the Mavs,

Who play with a Kidd, a Dampier, and a Bass.

They came out to Portland to beat one Big Oden,

Who had help from his elves who made him so loaded.

With Roy at the helm giving out the pass,

The Dips and the Dunks came out extremely fast.

But in the end it was a German who prevailed,

As Dirk led his team past the Blazers who flailed.

So as we put this Christmas to an end,

Lets all give a toast to a team that’s all friends.

At SportsFullCircle we proudly cheer,

For our favorite teams all through the year.

We Write and We broadcast on Youcastr too,

Open up our comments to Ravens and Shrews.

But this Holiday season has been one hell of a blast,

Seasons Greetings to you all, don’t let the year pass so fast.
