Matt Ryan wins Offensive Rookie of the Year

In a move that comes as little surprise to many, Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan has been named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.  Ryan, who was selected third overall in the 2008 NFL Draft, edged out Ravens QB Joe Flacco and Bears RB Matt Forte for the honor.

Ryan passed for 3440 yards with 16 TD’s and 11 INT’s on the season, leading the Falcons from the bottom of the NFC South to a playoff berth.  The Falcons play the Cardinals in Arizona in the NFC Wild Card weekend.
