by Carmine Caruso on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

BREAKING NEWS coming into the SFC Newsroom. The New York Yankees have made their third major signing of this off-season, adding coveted switch-hitting slugger 1B Mark Teixeira. It was thought that Tex would land with either the Red Sox or Nationals, and it seemed the Yankees were out on the Teixeira sweepstakes. The contents of the deal are expected to be 8 years, $180 Million. More to come.

    my comment on sfu:

    FUCK!

The MLB is now more of a joke than ever. This makes me respect teams like the rays way more, they had to go through a whole decade of suck to become what they are now. They didn’t buy anything.

Fuck the yankees and their attempts to buy championships. Those players don’t deserve that kind of money. Third world African countries could put it to much better use.

Well at least my man Mike Lowell is staying with the sox now. but still, fuck you yankees.

I can’t say that I am surprised by the Yankees getting Teixeira, that is what they do, they always have. I am, however, shocked, stunned, sickened, and sad. I hate the Yankees and I think people who did not hate them may re-think hating them. I wonder how the Red Sox players feel at this point. They need to do something big to set this ship straight and I don’t mean resigning Crapton Varitek. Hey, what’s with all the bad language on this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. tmurr says:

redsox will trade for prince fielder

  7. Natesh Sood says:

Haha Crapton – I like that.
