The Winnipeg Blue Bombers used their last game of the season to prepare for next Saturday’s game against the Edmonton Eskimos. The 24,595 at Canad Inns Stadium witnessed the Bombers beat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats by a score of 44 to 30.
With this win, Winnipeg finished the season at 8-10 while Hamilton equalled last year’s record of 3-15.
Bombers quarterback Kevin Glenn completed 11 of 14 passes for 166 yards, throwing two touchdowns to Romby Bryant. Bryan Randall came into the game late in the second quarter. Randall finished the game going 6-of-12 for 61 yards.
As for Hamilton, Casey Printers completed 6 of 16 passes for 131 yards and one touchdown to Eddie Cohen, but threw a pass to the Winnipeg defense. Printers, who rolled his ankle in the 3rd quarter, was replaced by rookie Adam Tafralis, who went 15-of-29 for 197 yards and two touchdowns to Kenton Keith and Chris Davis. However, Tafralis also threw a pass to the Bombers defense.
