In another move that could only be concocted by the mind of Al Davis, recently signed free agent DeAngelo Hall has been cut only 9 week after being signed for $70 million. More cracks are being shown through out this Raider team between players and management, as Rob Ryan apparently pushed for the dismissal of Hall, while many players were upset with the choice.
“I’ve never been in a situation where you cut one of the best players,” said safety Gibril Wilson, another of the team’s off season acquisitions. “That’s strange to me. It’s almost like we’re throwing in the towel.”
While the Raiders may have a better record than others teams, this lack of common sense along with bad judgment will definitely put the Raiders in a shot for the #1 pick. I thought the idea of cutting players was to get rid of the bad ones like Javon Walker not the young studs you traded for. The Raiders seem to be turning into the Marlins of the NFL, having a firesale off of anyone. If you wait long enough, I’m sure JaMarcus will be on waivers too. With the sense this team has, I might not be so off.
