Leafs Hire General Manager Brian Burke

The Toronto Maple Leafs have reached a contract with Brian Burke who previously served as the Anaheim Ducks’ General Manager. The contract is for the remainder of the season and five years afterward and pays out $18 million. A press conference is being held tomorrow. Burke is taking the reigns of a mediocre Leafs team and fans hope that Burke is the hockey knowledgeable guy they need to bring Lord Stanley back to Toronto.

And finally at least one Leafs rumour is finally over. Anytime Mats…anytime.
