Dallas And Pittsburgh Swap Defencemen

The Pittsburgh Penguins have traded defenceman Darryl Sydor to the Dallas Stars for fellow defenceman Phillipe Boucher. Both are 35 years old and both are on the final year of their contracts paying them $2.5 million for this year.

Boucher is currently has 3 assists and is a minus-4 through 16 games. Sydor has 1 goal, 1 assist and is a plus-5 through eight games. Sydor has been a healthy scratch for games during the season.

This will be the thrd time Sydor has been with the Stars, those years including the Stanley Cup when Dallas defeated Buffalo in 6 games back in 1999.
