This just in to the SFC newsroom, the New York Yankees are prepared to offer free agent pitcher CC Sabathia a 5 year $150 million contract. This contract would make Sabathia the richest pitcher in the game surpassing Johan Santana of the cross town rival Mets. At the stroke of midnight the Yankees can officially start negotiating with the burly left hander who went 17-10 with a 2.70 ERA. However Sabathia pitched amazing down the stretch goin 11-2 and helping the Brewers to their 1st playoff appearence esince 1982. Sabathia has stressed that he would like to stay in the NL and go to the west coast which does not bode well for the Yankees who play in the AL on the east coast, but this is the type of offer that could land CC in pinstripes next season.
