Tampa Bay Rays 4 Philadelphia Phillies 2

Needing a win to even the series, the Tampa Bay Rays, behind 5.2 innings of shutout baseball from James Shields, defeated the Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 4 to 2. Shields allowed seven hits and two walks, striking out four Phillies in the process. As for the Phillies, Brett Myers took the loss, allowing 4 runs (only three were earned) on seven hits and three walks.

With this win, Tampa now ties the series at 1 going into Game 3, which will be played on Saturday at 8 PM EST at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
