Philadelphia Phillies 3 Los Angeles Dodgers 2

Thanks to a 3-run 6th inning, the Philadelphia Phillies have handed the Dodgers their first loss in this MLB postseason, beating Los Angeles by a score of 3 to 2.

In the bottom of the 6th inning, Chase Utley hit a 2-run home run off Dodgers pitcher Derek Lowe. Two batters later, Pat Burrell blasted a ball out of the park to put the Phillies ahead for good.

Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels pitched 7.0 innings, allowing 6 hits and 2 earned runs as he earned the W. As for Lowe, he pitched 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs (one of which was unearned) on 6 hits. Lowe would take the first letter of his last name for his team.
