Behind five touchdown passes from Henry Burris, the Calgary Stampeders defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers by a score of 37 to 16. Burris, who completed 28 of 36 passes during the game, threw for 337 yards as the Stampeders improved to 11-5 on the season. Calgary can secure a home playoff game if they defeat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in Ivor Wynne Stadium next Friday.
Even though they fell to 6-10 on the season, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers clinched 2nd in the East by virtue of a Toronto loss to the Montreal Alouettes.
Kevin Glenn had a horrid day for Winnipeg, completing just 6 of 13 passes for 33 yards. Ryan Dinwiddie played as quarterback for Winnipeg in the 2nd half, going 5-of-12 for 61 yards, throwing one touchdown pass to Romby Bryant.
