USC is #1

The University of Southern California Trojans have jumped to the #1 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 college football poll after having started the season at #3. The Trojans defeated the Virginia Cavaliers 52 to 7 on Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia.

While Georgia and Ohio State, who were #1 and #2 to start the season respectively, both had impressive victories, they beat FCS (formerly Division I-AA) teams at home. Georgia now becomes #2 while Ohio State falls to #3.
