Big news coming from the World of Cycling as seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong has announced that he will come out of retirement to compete in five road races next year, including the Tour de France. The 36-year old, soon to be 37 on September 18, will join the Astana team when he competes in the Amgen Tour of California, Paris-Nice, Tour de Georgia, Dauphine-Libere, and, of course, the Tour de France.
Lance Armstrong Coming out of Retirement

All of the greats try it – Ali, Jordan etc and usually with not the best results. There is a blog post http://bicyclespokesman.com/lance-armstrong-will-come-out-of-retirement/ that gives some background on what might be motivating Lance to return
Ugh I appreciate Lance Armstrong for what he has done, but I still feel he was a blood doper at one point in his career.
Lance is willing to prove that he is a clean rider by posting results of blood tests on the Internet. But I just got word that the Astana team actually has “no plans” with Lance. Who knows what’s gonna happen to Mr. Armstrong at this point? I guess we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
