Arizona 31 UCLA 10

The Arizona Wildcats came into the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California to defeat the UCLA Bruins by a score of 31 to 10. Wildcats QB Willie Tuitama completed 16 of 29 passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns to Rob Gronkowski. Kevin Craft for UCLA went 15-of-31 for 80 yards.

Jason Bondzio led off the scoring with a 41-yard field goal to put Arizona up 3-0. However, a Nicholas Grigsby fumble at his one-yard line was recovered by UCLA’s Korey Bosworth for a touchdown. Unfortunately, for the Bruins, that was their only touchdown of the game. The Wildcats responded with two more touchdowns in the second quarter. Kai Forbath converted on a 35-yard field goal at the end of the first half, but the Bruins were unable to score any more points in the second half.

With this win, Arizona improves their record to 3-1 on the season while UCLA falls to 1-2. The Bruins have yet to score an offensive touchdown in over eight quarters of college football.
