Ronaldo to stay at Manchester United

Today, Alex Ferguson, manager of English Premier League’s Manchester United, has confirmed that midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo will play for the Red Devils next season.

Ronaldo has been the European version of the Brett Favre saga here in North America, except Ronaldo was not at all considering retirement; he just did not know where he will play next season. One of the stronger reports said that there was a chance Ronaldo would go over to Spain and play for Real Madrid.

“The matter is closed now, he is a Manchester United player. It’s finished. He’ll be playing here next season, believe me. It’s finished,” said Ferguson.

The Portugal native has played 5 seasons for Manchester United playing in 161 league games scoring 66 goals. Ronaldo has also won the UEFA Champions League title with the club in 2008.

This better be finished so Europeans do not have to go through what we North Americans have to go through for Brett Favre.

  1. Very nice Man Utd information. My favorite current player is Wayne Rooney.
I hope to be in Manchester for a game in the future.
I follow the news from the local papers in Mexico. Some games are on TV.
