Chuck Woolery: Welcome to Love Connection and we are here for a great show today as the New York Islanders are looking for their perfect match, a new head coach!!! Please welcome representing the Islanders, general manager Garth Snow!!!

Garth Snow: Thank you Chuck, it’s a pleasure for me to be on this show.

Chuck: Thanks for the kind words Garth. Now we let you have meetings with the three candidates and let us reveal who they are to the audience!!!

First off we have an NHL coach, who has led the Carolina Hurricanes to the Stanley Cup Finals but could not get the Toronto Maple Leafs in the playoffs. Ladies and gentlemen, Paul Maurice!!!

Paul Maurice: Um….. thanks…..uh.

Chuck: Next up we got another NHL coach that likes to yell a lot and tries to put an agressive nature in the locker room, hey it got him a Stanley Cup in 2001. Former Atlanta Thrashers coach Bob Hartley!!!

Bob Hartley: THANKS CHUCK!!!

Chuck: Okay then. Finally we have a coach currently in the AHL that has not won anything but has gotten his team to the playoffs a few times, current Providence Bruins coach Scott Gordon.

Scott Gordon: Thanks Chuck.

Chuck: Okay Garth, would you like to tell us who is your leading candidate?

Garth: I will choose Bob Hartley.

Chuck: Okay. Hello Bob how are you doing today.

Bob: I’M DOING GREAT!!!

Chuck: Do you always yell like that?

Bob: WHO’S YELLING!!!???

Chuck: Never mind then. Alright Garth, why are you choosing Bob?

Garth: Well Chuck, he’s a fiery coach who is good with young players. He is the type of coach I need for the rebuilding process, and he is a buddy of mine when he coached me backed in the AHL.

Audience: Awwwww.

Chuck: That’s nice. Now Bob, what would you do if you were the Islanders’ new head coach?

Bob: WELL FIRST, I WOULD GIVE A LONG SPEECH. I WOULD TRY TO GET A GOOD MIX OF YOUNG GUYS AND VETERANS. AND IF ANYBODY ON THE TEAM HAS A PROBLEM, 3:00 IN THE PARKING LOT!!!

Chuck: Bob, have you ever taken any type of anger management class?

Bob: NO!!! WHAT ARE YOU SUGGESTING!!! DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM THAT I TALK REALLY LOUD!!!???

Chuck: You know what I think we are done with the questions. Okay now it is time to look at who the audience selected as a good match for Islanders head coach. The audience selected Scott Gordon. Now Garth, would you like to have another meeting with Scott or would you like to continue meeting with Bob Hartley for your vacant head coach position?

Garth: I think I need more time to make the decision Chuck.
