Yankees struggling Center Fielder, Melky Cabrera has been just sent down to the Minors’ and OF Brett Gardner has been brought up to take his place. With recent struggles at the plate, Cabrera has not been contributing to the Yankees cause at all these past few days. Cabrera has only been batting around .240 this season and around .150 in his last 10 games or so.

In addition to Gardner, infielder Cody Ransom has also been brought up. The Yankees hope Gardner and Ransom can spark the Yankees against the Royals in a series starting tonight, at the stadium. Also, Richie Sexson has been put on waivers.
