Who’s making the playoffs?
Now that the half of the baseball season is over, it’s time we make predictions on who we think will make the playoffs. Let’s begin in New York, with the Mets and the Yankees. As of today, the Mets have a 40-42 record and are 3.5 games out of first. And the Mets have also have dealt with management issues as well as various injuries.
The Yankees have a 44-39, but are 6.5 games out of first place. Of course, neither of these teams are having their best year, as the Yankees have been without Arod, Posada, Matsui, and Wang for quite some time.
Everyone involved in New York sports like to see if the Yankees and Mets will make the Playoffs. So we ask you, who do you think will make the Playoffs and what are your reasons?

Well, I think the Yankees will make the playoffs.
They’ve started playing their best baseball of the year, and never seem to miss the playoffs.
The Mets will probably not make the playoffs. They are not playing well, get little production from their offense, and have up and down pitching
Yankees will make the playoffs. the mets do not have a deep lineup, or strong pitching. the yankees have a great offense, and enough pitching to make it.
The Mets will make the playoffs when Silverman figures out how to lick his own bung hole

I am a yankee fan, truthfully, come on guys they yanks can’t make the playoffs this year! I’m sorry, they stink. Tampa is gonna dominate the AL east unless the freaking red sox kill them, otherwise, yankees arent gonna make the playoffs. I really dont know much about the mets. If they’re pitching stays on target, the might have a chance, also if Reyes grows a brain, they could make it. Anyways, yankees aren’t gonna make the playoffs : )

they’re offense is good, and their pitching is alright

I’m not sure if the Phillies will be in the playoffs this year. Talk about a team taking a dive in all facets. We’re glad Brett Myers is going down to AAA to get his act together. When he comes back, his home should be in the bullpen, not the dugout.
