In the first quarter, Durant took a helmet to the chest and suffered three fractured ribs. He is expect to miss three to four weeks. Steven Jyles, Durant’s replacement, completed 14 of 18 passes for 201 yards with one interception and one touchdown.
Fantuz suffered a broken left fibula after catching a pass for 19 yards late in the game. Fantuz is expected to miss six to ten weeks.
Saskatchewan improved their record to 5-0, but can they continue their unbeaten streak? They have already lost starting QB Marcus Crandell to a hamstring injury, slotback DJ Flick to a broken leg, receiver Weston Dressler to a hamstring injury defensive back Leron Mitchell to a broken leg, and defensive end John Chick to torn knee ligaments.
