NFL Fever: NFC West

Another weak division, the NFC West has 2 threats to win the division, and the one that does not will not be a wild card contender. The NFC West has two awful teams, the St. Louis Rams and the San Francisco 49ers, and two decent teams in the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals.
The Rams are set to be a little better this year, but not good. I never trust the Rams to accomplish anything, or to stay healthy. Bulger gets injured every season, Jackson is coming off an injury, and their defense is not particularly good. If Bulger manages to stay healthy, they will have a decent offense and can be somewhat respectable without making the playoffs.
The 49ers look for Alex Smith to improve this year. If he does not, he will probably not be the starting quarterback in San Fran after this year. The 49ers do not look like they will do anything this year. Their defense is weak besides Patrick Willis, and the offense might be worse. Expect them to try and build towards the future.
The Arizona Cardinals should be a good offensive team. They will either have Matt Leinart or Kurt Warner at the helm, two quarterbacks who can throw the ball. They also have Edge at running back, and a great tandem of wide receivers with Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. They may have regressed on defense though, after the loss of Calvin Pace to the Jets. They will be a mediocre defensive team and will compete for the division title but will just miss making the playoffs.
The Seattle Seahawks should win this division yet again. They were in the Superbowl only two years ago and have most of the team that made it there. They have a good defensive line that includes Patrick Kerney, and a good linebackers including Julian Peterson and Lofa Tatupu. They also have Matt Hasselbeck, who is a good enough quarterback to lead the team to another division title. Expect the Seahawks to grind it out and win another division title, but by a slim margin.
