Rumors for 6/28
Hey guys, this is Jon from Sports Sector, here to fill you in on the rumors for the day. Ah, nothing like the first day on the job. You know, they say the first day is the day for you to make the right impression. Hopefully, I won’t let you guys down. Everyday, I plan to provide you with rumors from as many sports as possible that give you an upper-edge on your knowledge and prove you aren’t that bandwagon fan (Natesh Sood) that everyone thought you were! So lets get started:
MLB: Colorado Rockies Pitcher Brian Fuentes is almost sure to be on the move, and it appears it could happen before the July 31st Trade Deadline. Teams interested include the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Oakland Athletics, and Philadelphia Phillies. It is likely it will take a medium-grade prospect and major league talent in return for the Rockies RP/CL.
NBA: There is potential humungous news in the NBA, as the New Jersey Nets appear to be continuing the re-loading process, ready to deal SG Vince Carter to join LeBron James in Cleveland. There is not much information at this point, but it seems that it would include Wally Szerzbiak. It would greatly increase the Cavs production, and would potentially clear room for the Nets to take LeBron in 2010.
NFL: Commissioner Roger Goodell is expected to begin a policy on Rookie’s Guaranteed Salary by next year, in an attempt to minimize them drastically.
That pretty much does it for today, if anymore breaks look back here or go to www.sportssector.blogspot.com, a website headed by me. So long!
